At last, the new and improved "Jurassic Park" has arrived! It has been put in development hell for years, but "Jurassic World" is finally out and, boy, was it worth the wait!
While, yes, it's true that the plot could be a lot better, but like "Walt Disney's Dinosaur" when you have visual effects this breathtaking, you really don't need a plot.
The film begins with an egg hatching, which seems kind of played out in dino films because you see it most dinosaur films depicting some type of foreshadowing. Anyway, two kids named Gray and Zach are sent by their parents to have a "fun" time at Jurassic Park with their Aunt Clair (Bryce Dallas Howard). Little do they know that all hell breaks loose soon afterward.
To add to the mix, the scientists in this film have made a genetically-modified dinosaur. That was really smart on their part. NOT! Instead of having a fun-filled time the two boys almost get eaten alive, along with most of the extras in this movie.
I really enjoyed Chris Pratt's bad boy performance as an expert raptor trainer. He has really proved himself as an actor with many facets after appearing in "Guardians of the Galaxy". The only problem that I had with this film are the subplots with the annoying children. For example, before Zach and Gray leave for Jurassic World Zach says his goodbyes to his "girlfriend" saying that she loves Zach, but Zach does not return the comment. Do we really need love story romances? The people come to the movies for action and dinosaurs ripping each other apart. They don't come to see two stupid, feeble-minded teenagers say–or not say–that they love each other.
When those dinosaurs came out and killed everybody in sight, and those raw unique visual effects just rip right through the screen, it was all worth it. Despite those annoying kids wandering off into the forest where they shouldn't be, the dinosaurs, of course, made the movie once again.
