The Bachelor and Bachelorette are two of the most watched, talked about, and criticized shows in all of television.
Whether you love it or hate to love it, it is hard to escape this conversation when one of the seasons airs.
Personally, I used to hate it. I refused to take part in watching because I thought it was fake and annoying.
Despite my opinion, literally every one of my friends was completely obsessed. I was always the one who had no idea what they were talking about and I really didn't care, that is until they forced me to sit through an episode of Kaitlyn Bristowe's season.
I tried to be uninterested, but after that, I was hooked. I am now an avid Bachelor watcher.
At the end of Ben Higgin's season, I was shocked he didn't choose Jojo Fletcher. You can imagine my happiness when it was revealed that she would be the next Bachelorette.
I really enjoyed this season, and not to toot my own horn or anything, but I called Jordan Rodgers from night one after he got the first impression rose.
When the finale aired, it was revealed that Jojo picked Jordan, and sent Robby Hayes home.
Although I found this season to be one of my favorites I have watched so far, there were some things that really bugged me during the finale:
First off, when Jojo rejected Robby, she said she wanted it to be him. Why would you ever break up with someone and then tell them you wanted it to be them? That is literally the last thing I think anyone would want to hear during a proposal rejection.
Like, "I really wish it was you, but like it's not, so bye!"
Obviously, you don't wish it was them, or you would have chosen them, so don't say that.
Also, Jojo's dad should never have told Robby he couldn't wait for him to be in their family when he met them. You are basically "son-in-law promising" him, which was rude when he knew there was a second contender.
Second, am I the only one that thought Jojo was a tad dramatic about Jordan not asking for her dad's permission to ask her to marry him?
I mean, I totally understood where Jordan was coming from because it would be hard to ask that when you don't know where she stood.
I don't know, maybe it's the feminist in me, but I just don't think it is that big of a deal.
Third, every time I looked at Twitter after Jojo picked Jordan, all I saw was tweets about how she chose the f*ckboy over the good guy.
I'm like, hello, have you not heard the rumors that Robbie dumped his ex right before the show? He isn't a saint, don't be annoying.
If Jojo didn't trust Jordan, she wouldn't have picked him.
And lastly, why (emphasis on the why) did Chris Harrison bring up not once, not twice, but like five times, Aaron Rodgers?
What does Aaron Rodgers have to do with anything, at all, regarding the Bachelorette? You are tainting this joyous time for Jojo and Jordan by bringing up his brother he doesn't really like at the moment.
I wish I could have stuck my hand in the television and slapped Chris myself.
However many things annoyed me during the finale, you know that I was in absolute hysterics when Jojo told Jordan she loved him, and when she said yes.
I hope that everyone who does not support these lovebirds will leave them alone and let them be annoyingly adorable and in love like they are.
I know I will, while I sit here painfully single, living vicariously through them on Snapchat.
