All hail to Jim and Pam. This perfect television couple set the standards for a solid relationship, from the beginning of their friendship to their marriage romance. Friendship is where it started and from there, the two lovebirds mastered the act of patience, trust and compassion.

"Four years ago, I was just a guy who had a crush on a girl who had a boyfriend. And I had to do the hardest thing I ever had to do, which was just to wait," Jim said.

"I mean, she was with Roy, and I just couldn't take it. I mean, I lost it, Dwight. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't concentrate on anything. And weird stuff, like food had no taste. So my solution was to move away. It was awful. And it is something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. And that includes you, Dwight," Jim said.

3. Good things happen to those who wait.

"For a really long time that's all I had. Little moments with a girl who saw me as a friend. And a lot of people told me I was crazy to wait this long for a date with a girl who I worked with, but I think, even then I knew, I was waiting for my wife," Jim said.

4. Kissing a girl with a boyfriend doesn't always work... at least, not right away.

"You gotta take a chance on something, sometime," Jim said.

5. Appreciating the good and the bad, the serious side of someone and the funny times.

"You can flirt with someone to get what you want, and also be attracted to them. How do you think we got together?" Pam said.

6. There doesn't need to be a perfect scene to make a memorable moment.

"There's beauty in ordinary things. Isn't that point?" Pam said.

7. Love looks past bad hair.

"I had just woken up. I didn't look cute. That's how I knew he meant it," Pam said.

"It's like a long book that you never want to end. And you're fine with that because you just never want to leave it," Pam said.
