How To Be A New Jersey Driver

We will always get there first, by whatever means necessary.

How To Be A New Jersey Driver

As a New Jersey licensed driver, we have no reason to not believe the fact that we are the most skillful, talented, and angry drivers in America.

Whether we are flipping you off, cutting you off, or just ticking you off, we always ride with our Jersey pride.

It takes serious practice to be a skillful NJ driver. We drive with a purpose and a desire to arrive at our destination first and on time. We follow a strict set of rules and guidelines from the moment we enter the car to the second we exit the vehicle with flames shooting out our ears (usually ignited by a PA driver).

Take a look at our process to see how we get to be so damn good.

Step 1: Walk outside and smell the FRESH Jersey air.

Nothing says "let's roll" like the sweet smell of the Garden State.

Step 2: Enter your vehicle and fire it up.

All right, Jersey driver. It's showtime.

Step 3: Floor it.

It doesn't matter where you are. We're from Jersey. We are in a rush, and there's nothing that's gonna stop us from getting to where we need to go. Unless ...

Step 4: Immediately put on your angry face, because here comes a PA driver.

Here they come! A good old Pennsylvania driver, strolling along the highway at a comfortable 60 mph in the left lane. Apparently their car came without a turn signal! At this point, NJ drivers cars are running strictly on hot gas and rage.

Step 5: Bring out your inner Ricky Bobby.

Suddenly, the highway turns into the Talladega Superspeedway. Those PA drivers may start the battle, but they won't win the war. It's up to a Jersey driver to always cross the finish line...and blatantly cut people off. Shake and Bake. (A pat on the back for those who understand the Talladega Nights references.)

Step 6: After a solid win, it's time to fuel up. Hands-free, of course.

There's nothing more rewarding than filling up without moving a muscle. We applaud the gas station attendants statewide. Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear reflective vests.

Step 7: Arrive at your destination.

You've successfully made it from point A to point B with not a casualty in sight. Congrats. Be sure to repeat steps 1-7 when returning home. You have officially proven that you earned that drivers license.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
