Ivanka Trump May Have Presidential Qualities But Shows A Trump Attitude

Should Donald Trump's daughter be the real Presidential candidate?

She is a highly-educated executive at Trump Towers and one of Donald Trump’s most trusted political advisers so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Ivanka is incredibly smart, eloquent and strategic.Yet,on Thursday, 21 July 2016, Ivanka Trump delivered a powerful speech on the final day of the GOP convention that countered her father’s previous policies on gender equality, appealed to the female and minority masses, and made her seem more fit to be the Presidential Nominee than the candidate himself.

“Women represent 46 percent of the total U.S. labor force, and 40 percent of American households have female primary breadwinners...As President, my father will change the labor laws that were put into place at a time when women were not a significant portion of the workforce,” the soon-to-be published author of Women Who Work said.

Ivanka’s speech is entirely based on political strategy and she touched primarily on Clinton-topics, including women’s rights, gender equality and minorities in a speedy effort to lift her father in the current polls. Trump’s support has recently been decreasing, with Washington Post polls showing a -7 decrease and NBC News/Wall Street poll showing Clinton leading by 5. By employing statistics and her role as a working mother herself who is as “color blind and gender neutral” as her father, Ivanka personalized herself, and showed that she understands what’s at stake for working American families.

“She hit the gender pay issue which is very important. And she talked about family. I think she’s done very, very well,” said Chris Herrod, state director for Ted Cruz.

78 year old Mexican delegate, Fernando C. deBaca said, “She’s [an] enormously capable young lady, as is her brother. We’re going to see the beginning of a dynasty here.”

With her $138 dress from her upcoming Fall collection, Ivanka also embodied the role of a savvy business woman during the speech, and presented herself as someone who knows how to promote “her own empire’s economy” but also open opportunities to others. In the political world, this would constitute diplomacy.

However, what lies as her weakness is the somewhat hypocritical attitude she shares with her father. In a similar manner to Donald Trump, Ivanka indicated that she promotes Americans working for Americans but most of her clothing label has been imported, and is predominantly made in China in collaboration with the G-iii group. Furthermore, Trump is currently embroiled in a shoe scandal with luxury footwear brand, Aquazzura over their famed 'Wild Thing', fringed shoe scandal. Aquazzura has sued Trump and her manufacturing company, Marc Fisher for “nearly every detail” in the shoe and called her out for “not having put in the hard work” to create this shoe.

Ivanka remains an eloquent speaker and witty entrepreneur. Nevertheless, the fact that she is trying to impart the same pro-American messages as her father without embodying it in reality highlights that she gives the American public information with a veneer. She has established a strong a sense of camaderie, where she asks us to depend on her and join her in her latest speech. But, with the current scandals popping up, it might be wiser to comprehend that Ivanka herself is just human and trying to elevate her reputation, and not convert into her die-hard fan.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
