With fall coming back into view, everyone is constantly reminded of the upcoming school year. There’s school supplies in Walmart, stores selling backpacks, back-to-school commercials, just enough to give everyone that post-summer depression. Don’t get me wrong- I’m just as excited as the next person for my sorority formal, Auburn football games (War Eagle!), and seeing my friends. However, if you thought I was excited about more statistic and business analytic-based classes? You’re dead wrong.
1. Eat your weight in popcorn.
If you don’t think this is the best snack that has graced this Earth, we cannot be friends.
2. Get dance lessons from Beyonce.
In the wise words of my AP Lit teacher, “If Beyonce can have fans, I can have fans.”
3. Buy an ungodly amount of swim floaties.
As a summer camp counselor, I have grown fond of buying mermaid floaties and rubber chickens, even if I don’t have a pool at home.
4. Wear an Auburn jersey on Alabama’s campus
Biggest rivalry in the south. Enough said.
5. Take an ice cold shower.
6. Get really bad tan lines just in time for rush week.
There isn’t enough aloe and fake tans in the world to fix this mess.
7. Binge on cinnamon rolls at The Bean
These are literally brought down to heaven by God himself and when I move back into my dorm, I swear I’m going to buy a dozen whenever I can.
8. Spend more time decorating my dorm than doing my homework
Let’s face it, it’s easier to be aesthetically pleasing and completely avoid real responsibilities.
9. Go to a doggy day care and leave crying because I couldn’t adopt any
I will gladly take the heartbreak of leaving dozens of puppies over being welcomed back with stacks of homework and reading assignments.
10. Shop at a grocery store on a Sunday
Nothing is more hectic and full of chaos than Publix on a Sunday...except maybe Cracker Barrel.
