How many angels are in my moms’ room? Italian moms are the most interesting, real characters that were ever invented. Just imagine living in your house for over twenty years and never being able to sit on a certain couch. That is my mom. My mom is an Italian mom. Life under these circumstances can be both the easiest and the most stressful you have ever imagined.
Since I was little I have been deathly scared of my mother. Anything that I didn’t like on my pizza, mushrooms, olives, or onions, was contradicted. I was yelled at constantly and threatened with the wooden spoon more times than I can count on my fingers and toes. My mom cooked a three-course meal every night, sounds nice right? Well, it is except when you are a child that fights every piece of pea from entering your mouth.
My Italian mom is the most interesting character that I have ever created, but she is real. She is my mother and I love her with all my heart. I am now 23 years old and still fear making her angry because I know that I will pay for it. She’s a stay-at-home mom, so the house is always clean and spotless. While in most homes, the living room is a room where people are supposed to live, that is not the case in my house. There is an invisible barrier that stops me and my siblings from ever entering this room, but the reaction we would get from her if we did has always intrigued us.
I wish that everyone had the pleasure of living with an Italian mother. Then they will understand the struggles that come with it, but also feel the blessings that come with the job as well. My mother is an inspiration because of the way she was able to feed, clothe, and prepare four children for school each and every day. I don’t know any other mother that would have the talents to take care of my siblings and I. She is patient, loving, and caring. I love my Italian mother. By the way, she has 36 angels just in her bedroom.
