As girls and even sometimes guys we watch these movies that broadcast the idea that in order to show that we love someone we need to produce these huge ordeals and proclaim our love in ways that leave the girls crying. Trust me I like a big romantic gesture just like any other girl, but sometimes it’s not the big things that get me. More often than not it is the small little things that leave me feeling loved. So, it’s the little things, like the good night texts and the good morning texts that ring on my phone every morning and night. It’s the good night calls that we both make when we are exhausted and just want to fall asleep. When he puts on your radio station even though he has stated a number of times that he does not like country music and then presets the radio station in his new car to your favorite station. It’s the hugs and kisses and laughs that he gives me every day that I would not change. It’s how he makes me smile when I need it most and when he just says I’m proud of you that makes my insides turn to knots and I get butterflies all over again like I did on our first date. So, no maybe I don’t get the big romantic gestures (but when he does they are sweet and thoughtful) but I can live without all those for the simple fact that it is the small things that he gives me every day. So yeah it is the small stuff, more than the big romantic gestures.
