Through every choice in life, there is a decision that must follow. Abortion is a woman’s individual choice; therefore, must be a legal part in today's society. Individual rights play a large role in the controversial topic, on whether abortion should become legal in the United States. The individual rights for abortion show rights of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. As well, women should be able to have the choice to choose to have an abortion for several important reasons. The right to make these decisions should lie in the hands of the “mother” to decide concerning their own to decide concerning their own bodies. In addition, women should be given the choice to have an abortion if they are too you young, there is or will be complications with the mothers' health because of the fetus or the "mother" doesn't have the financial stability to raise a child by herself.
Bringing unwanted children into this world, with the means of bad care and love, is restraining the pursuit of happiness among these children. If we as humans don't have the ability to give a child a healthy life; then the point of bringing them into this world is meaningless and unfair to the child. The woman's most basic freedoms is the right to control her own body and to determine if she bears a child. Only she can determine whether she is emotional, physical, and economic ready at any given time to have and raise a child.
One thing I will never understand is why people find the want or need to control other people's decisions. If you are not the one raising the baby, financially supporting that child, and emotionally supporting that child, I don't believe you have the right to decide for that woman what she shall do with her body. Samuel A. Alito, Jr. is one of the men who voted to overturn Roe V. Wade. Mr. Alito is a 72-year-old MAN who should have no business in what not only me but every woman in America has the right to. He wrote in the opinion overturning the ruling, calling the original Roe decision "egregiously wrong and deeply damaging." I am deeply confused about how he can state how "deeply damaging" abortion is when he himself has never had to deal with that heart wrenching feeling a mother has to go through giving up their baby.
Coming from the perspective of a medical instance
I am going to be telling the story of Amanda Eid, a 35-year-old woman who has struggled with infertility for many years. Amanda went through many fertility treatments and after a year and a half, she got the best news of her life. She was pregnant! But then, 18 weeks just four months into her pregnancy, Amanda’s water broke. The amniotic fluid that her baby depended upon was leaking out. She says her doctor told her the baby would not survive. “We found out that we were going to lose our baby,” Amanda said. “My cervix was dilating fully 22 weeks prematurely, and I was inevitably going to miscarry.” She and Josh begged the doctor to see if there was any way to save the baby. “I just kept asking, ‘isn’t there anything we can do?’ And the answer was ‘no,’” Amanda said. For some knowledge on women's body, when a woman’s water breaks, she’s at high risk for a life-threatening infection. While Amanda and Josh’s baby they named her, Willow was sure to die. But she still had a heartbeat, and so doctors said that under Texas law, they could not end the pregnancy. On August 26, three days after her water broke, Amanda found herself shivering in the Texas heat.Josh rushed his wife to the hospital. Her temperature was 102 degrees. She was too weak to walk on her own. Her temperature went up to 103 degrees. Finally, Amanda was sick enough that the doctors felt legally safe to terminate the pregnancy. This woman's life was in severe danger because of medical professionals not being able to abort the fetus through the law. That is ridiculous and not only did she almost die but she lost her medical baby, how can you sit there and criticize a woman for something completely out of her control? This is only one story. There're hundreds of thousands of women going through this and vetoing roe V. Wade is only going to cause more death in the U.S.
