I am someone who completely geeks over those random facts that nobody else would flinch an eye at. I mean like now that I know that dogs can see less colors than humans and that the letter Q is the only letter that does not appear in any of the 50 states names, it simply makes my life a lot more interesting, doesn't it? Here are a few more facts that might make you happy or even blow your mind.

1. There is only one letter from the alphabet that does not appear in any of the states names

If you were to go through ALL 50 states and see what letters made up those names, you would find every single letter from the alphabet....except one! That letter happens to be Q! I know, who would have found that interesting right? Well, I do.

2. Chicago is not named the Windy City because of the weather

Many people think that Chicago is nicknamed "The Windy City" because of the windy weather we experience there, but that is far from it. The nickname is actually given because people thought that the politicians in Chicago were "full of hot air" which made it all windy.

3. Armadillo shells are bulletproof

If you ever want to protect yourself from a bullet, I recommend getting an armadillo shell to protect you. These things are powerful, and I am pretty sure I am not the only one who thought about becoming one after reading this.

4. Octopuses lay 56,000 eggs at one time

You think one child is too much at one time? Try being an octopus.

5. You have 2 body parts that never stop growing

Usually you would think that eventually everything stops growing once you hit your early 20's right? Well, you are WRONG. Your nose and ears are always growing, even when everything else stops.

6. Movie trailers originally played at the end of the movie

So, you know when you go to the movies and before the movie starts there are movie trailers playing so you can see what is coming out soon? Well, believe it or not they used to play after the whole movie was over!

7. The CIA has their own Starbucks

Who doesn't love Starbucks? I know I do, and after knowing this I am defiantly interested in joining the CIA.

8. The Eiffel Tower can grow in the summer

The Eiffel Tower is made out of iron, and when iron get shot it expands. So, in the summer it is said that the tower can grow up to 6 inches taller!

9. Humans are not the only animals that dream

This is insane because that means that all kinds of animals have dreams. I would love to sit down with a pig and listen to what they dreamed about the night before, anyone else?

10. Giraffe tongues can be up to 20 inches long

The human tongue is on average 10 centimeters long so imagine having a tongue that is 20 inches long! That is pure talent.

11. 6 countries do not have any internet access

Imagine living in one of those six countries, life would be so simple.
