Motherland I saw you born

And I nurtured you

But now people have turned against me

Like a swallow should I sleep in caves?

No! Until the sun rises I will stand

History saw our blood spilled over the land

Dust should not swallow my soul

Books have swallowed history

Lies have sealed contracts

Hollywood alters the story

It gives our aggressor the glory

Mother earth I saw you born

But I will see you die

Because people have murdered you

At the expense of false wisdom

The featherbrained dream to undo what's broken

But they never hear the wise of the land

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
