One Disney queen is stepping up her #GirlBoss game. Actress, singer and producer, Ashley Tisdale, has launched a new makeup line. Partnering with BH Cosmetics, her cosmetic line, Illuminate By Ashley Tisdale, launched on May 27th. With eyeshadow palettes, cheek satins and lip glosses, the line is designed for anyone wanting to feel illuminated and beautiful.

I had the chance to purchase one of the eye shadow palettes called Beach Goddess, an everyday shadow, blush, bronzer and highlighter palette.

My first comment has to be about the affordable prince: only $18.00 (not including shipping). I am one who loves to buy high-end makeup brands like NARS and Urban Decay, which already takes half of my paycheck. I wasn’t all that worried that the cosmetics were going to be too expensive since BH Cosmetics is an affordable makeup company. But ever since Kylie Jenner took out her $40 lip kits, I had to be a bit worrisome. However, Ashley did not let us down. The prices for this line are either $9.00 or $18.00. And as I mentioned before, the palette brings eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer AND blush. If you were to buy each separately, you’d be looking at a total of more than $100.00. But anyways, back to the amazing product, it is worth the shipping wait.

I received my package the week after it was released so, props to BH Cosmetics for shipping on time. I ordered their 10 pc Pop Art Brush set and the Beach Goddess palette.

Packaging got 100 points from me. It's simple, yet elegant.

Now, the shadows.

I love matte and neutrals and while most of the shadows have shimmer, I was not disappointed one bit. My favorite shade is Aruba, which is the fifth shade going right to left on the bottom. Highly pigmented, it is a beautiful brown/reddish color that if just applied to the crease, the eyes will pop out with just that one color. I've mixed and created a smokey eye to natural to a five minute look with the matte and shimmer shadows, something I never thought I would get used to. The highlighter, St. Lucia, comes in handy. It illuminates any face, any skin tone and finishes any look, whether for day or night. Same goes for the blush, Bermuda. It is a perfect light pink shade that gives your face the little pop of color one needs. The bronzer, Seychelles, really defines your jawline and contours the face naturally. Fun Fact: the groovy names for the shadows are names of Ashley's favorite vacation spots.

Some other important things to note about this palette is that they are very bendable, non-irritating, vegan, and clinically- and allergy- tested.

Even without a setting spray, the shadows last me a whole day. The palette is so portable also that I now carry it with me incase I need to illuminate my face. The brushes I bought with the set are something I also recommend because it brings a tapered blending brush and fluffy angled brush which truly apply the eyeshadow flawlessly.

I have yet to try the lipsticks and cheek/lip stains, but soon I will and I will be here to review those as well.

Currently, Ashley is working on highlighters and more matte colors and products. I know it will all be worth the wait at the end.

If you're looking to find a new best friend, head on over to Illuminate Cosmetic's website and buy the Beach Goddess palette! Definitely a must-have!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
