Just because you are single on Valentine's Day doesn't mean you can't still have fun.

Almost every single girl I know dreads February 14th but they don’t realize V-Day isn’t just for the couples of the universe.

Valentine’s Day is a day of love, flowers, chocolates, and all things pink and red. It’s when all those couples go on dates but it’s also for the single ladies and their closest friends!

Don’t be down on Valentine’s Day just because you don’t have someone special in your life because trust me you got the most amazing friends in the world. Here are some things you can do if you’re single on Valentine’s Day!

Get dressed up and go out to eat with your closest friends!

Call up a group of your closest friends and hit the town. Put on a nice dress, do your hair and makeup, and head out to your favorite restaurant. Go shopping at your favorite stores or the movies with your best friends.

Chill at home and watch movies with your friends!

If you’re not into the idea of going out, that’s okay! Text some friends and have them come over for movies. Order pizza, wings, and put on your PJ’s. Just relax and enjoy some time catching up with your friends!

Get your friends chocolates or little gifts because they deserve it!

Even though you don’t have a boyfriend to get a gift for, you do have best friends! Get a funny card, and tell your friends how thankful you are for them. Get them a cute little stuffed animal, or even a box of chocolates. If you don’t want to spend money, you can make your friends a homemade gift. I’m positive your friends will love and appreciate it.

Have a movie marathon!

Get on Netflix or pull out those DVD’s on the shelf and have yourself a movie marathon. Watch your favorite movies all day long. Finish that Netflix series you’re on or start a new one! I recommend, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, Fuller House, Friday Night Lights, One Tree Hill, or Grey’s Anatomy. Don’t forget the popcorn!

Go on your own shopping spree!

I’m sure there are plenty holiday of sales going on right now. This is your chance to pamper yourself, and get some new clothes. Even get yourself a pair of new shoes. You can’t go wrong there. Try on clothes, take selfies in the good lighting of dressing rooms, and just enjoy yourself. I mean, who doesn’t like buying new clothes?

Try something new!

Go to a restaurant you’ve never been to before. Try a new food that you were too afraid to try before. Take a yoga, a spin class, or even go get a massage. Try cooking a recipe you’ve always wanted to try. There are thousands of DIY’s you could try as well. Here’s your chance to try something new, take advantage of it!

Road Trip!

Call up your friends and hit the road. Go to a local hiking spot, or state park. Enjoy the beautiful views of nature. If you want to shop head to the outlets on your road trip or a big mall in another city. Speaking of cities, head to a different city and explore. If you don’t have a certain destination you’re interested just start driving and see where your adventure takes you. One more thing.Don’t forget a road trip playlist!

Throw a Galantine’s Day party!

Throw your own party for you and your single friends! Decorate the party with pink and red streamers, hearts, and everything Valentine’s Day related. Get drinks and have plenty of food. Don’t forget the music so you and your friends can have a dance party and scream at the top of your lungs. Hope the neighbors don’t complain.

So don’t be down on Valentine’s Day!Enjoy a day to yourself or hang out with your best friends! Enjoy yourself and make a great day out of the 14th!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
