Don't disrespect my mama, or you're asking to be cut out of my life.

The love between a mother and daughter is forever -- Unknown

My mother and I share an unbreakable bond.

Bearing that in mind, if you think you'll ever get away with showing my mom any kind of disrespect around me, you're sadly mistaken. You will more than likely not ever earn my forgiveness, and I cannot deal with someone who thinks it's okay to be the kind of person who doesn't respect my mom. She has put up with a lot of bullcrap from people, and I will not put up with yours.

My mama is a good person. She does things to help others without expecting anything in return, and she listens and genuinely cares about others. She is respectful and kind, and a lot smarter than people give her credit for. She is so strong. She thinks to anticipate problems before they might happen, to make sure that my sister and I are prepared for anything that might come our way. She is my biggest fan and supports me even when I'm a smart-mouthy jerk to her. She works hard, and she has bent over backwards for me for almost 23 years now. So, if you think I wouldn't defend a person who has done nothing but look out for me even before I was born, just to let you have your way, you're a raving lunatic.

Things not working out doesn't just apply to guys, either. Friendships will not work out if you think you can say anything to be disrespectful to my mom. I don't care how mild you might think you're being, I will defend my mama before anything. It goes without saying that even if I were to complain (which I typically don't) about my mom, you'd better simply show sympathy for the problem I'm having itself, give me carefully worded advice, or just shut your mouth, because while I can talk about the situation, it's me venting, not asking you for your opinion.

To sum it all up, if you think of something nasty to say, keep your comments to yourself, because if I hear them, on a good day, you'll get the silent treatment, and on a bad day, you'll leave with a bruised ego. Plus, if you don't like my mama, you won't like me, either, because a lot of people think I'm like her, and I can't think of a better person to emulate.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
