If High School Was Like High School Musical

Hey Wildcats! Get ready to sing along to my newest article all about how high school would be if it was like High School Musical. Every day would be a pep session, the sad heartbreaks would always end up back together, nothing bad would ever happen. The only thing we'd worry about is being judged for enjoying singing while also liking basketball.. #thestruggle. Would anyone actually like this? Maybe if you want your life to be one big cheesy Disney movie. So it's time to get your head in the game as we depict how high school would actually be if it was like High School Musical...

1. There would be random musical outbursts

If it's math class, the lunch room, or even gym class, we would see at least six musical numbers a day. Not saying that's a bad thing but it might get a little old.

2. There would be weird rain make out sessions

Seems romantic but in reality your hair gets stuck to his face, your make up runs down your cheeks...it's awkward.

3. Money wouldn't be an issue

We'd be hitting up the ski resorts, spas, everything that these "average" high schoolers get to go to. What happened to laying in bed watching Netflix and eating Ramen Noodles?

4. We'd have unlimited time between classes

SERIOUSLY ARE THEY EVER IN CLASS? How can you possibly have a full dance number and get to chemistry in five minutes? I barely managed making it to my locker and to my next class without having to sprint down the halls.

5. We'd have an unrealistic romance

You meet a cute boy at a ski resort and somehow end up at the same high school? Then somehow you manage to stay together throughout high school... Very realistic *insert eye roll*

6. People would willingly tell their darkest secrets

Imagine a world where basketball players tell you they like to bake, or that bigger girls like hip hop... *shutters*

7. No fist fights would happen, just snarky comments

It seems that at East High no real conflicts actually happen, just petty girl drama that's mostly started by Sharpay... DONT BE A SHARPAY.

8. All break ups would be dramatic

Could you imagine how many girls would be singing dramatically about their breakups HSM was actually real. We'd have more school counselors than classrooms.

9. Everyone would be able to sing

Speaking of singing, what kind of high school has all good singers? Not mine (sorry CHS).

10. We'd all be a big happy family

As much as we would like, we are not "all in this together"

So there you go Wildcats, did you get your head in the game? Would you be able to handle going to East high? As much as I love musical numbers I'd have to 'go my own way' and find the nearest exit out of that school.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
