No matter where I go around campus, there's at least one group of friends talking about fraternities in general. One day, I heard someone obsess over Delta Chi's Christmas room, and an idea came to me--which is how we all ended up right here. After receiving some feedback from various people in Greek Life, this is the general consensus regarding each fraternity as a holiday:
Acacia
Christmas Eve..
Alpha Tau Omega (ATO)
Labor Day--grilling. 'Nuff said.
Beta Theta Pi (Beta)
Thanksgiving: there's nothing better than coming to Beta for dinner.
Beta Sigma Beta
Hanukkah: if we could stay for eight days straight, we would.
Delta Chi (D Chi)
Christmas... They dressed like Santa for Halloween this year, and who hasn't gotten a picture in their incredible Christmas room?
Delta Sigma Phi (D Sig)
Mischief night: they're always scheming.
Delta Tau Delta (DTD)
Columbus Day: an incredible discovery.
Delta Upsilon (DU)
Presidents Day: you don't always remember that it's coming up, but when it does, you're ecstatic that you have the day off (time to daylong).
Kappa Delta Rho (KDR)
Memorial Day because, "they fought long and hard but we still lost them."Phi Psi
Election Day: because we're all going there for a champagne brunch to drink our sorrows away after this election.
Pi Kappa Alpha (Pike)
Easter, because being with Pike is like being with family.
Pi Kappa Phi
Mardi Gras, 'cause they don't care.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE)
New Year's Eve: if you're there on a Thursday, you're sure to get a kiss at midnight.
Sigma Alpha Mu (SAMMY)
4th of July: it's the most fun if you're outside (in the pit).
Sigma Chi
Valentine's Day (they're sweet, and if you get invited to one of their dated functions, you're a lucky girl).
Tau Phi Delta (Treehouse)
Earth Day (because Treehouse, obviously).
Disclaimer: please don't take this too seriously, it's not an actual ranking and is all in good fun.
