College is a fun and dysfunctional place. Not too unlike the Gallagher family and their friends in Shameless. So if all the many majors that go along with college were matched with the Shameless counterpart, who would you be? Are you a smart-ass genius like Lip? Or more of a crafty and resourceful Svetlana? Here is a complete match up of the Shameless cast to which major they most accurately represent.
1. Fiona = Nursing
I know what you are all thinking. When did Fiona ever do anything on the show remotely medical? The answer is: never. But I see a lot of similarities to Fiona and a nursing major. They work long, hard hours. They are under insane amounts of pressure. Not only that, but they are responsible for caring for people's lives.
2. Lip = Philosophy
Lip is one of those people who could have succeed at anything but ultimately decided to go with Philosophy. This major knows how to look at all angles of a situation and assess it perfectly. Wise beyond their years, and have most of the times been through a lot.
3. Ian = Criminal Justice
Criminal Justice majors are some pretty tough cookies. Some can even say they have a little bit of a thrill seeker side to them. Though one thing is for sure, they always try to do what is right. Just like Ian, who both has his wild side and his responsible side.
4. Debbie = Education
Like Debbie education majors are nurturing people, but they also know how to get stuff done. They don't mess around and get crafty with whatever situation is thrown at them. When it comes to handling kids you have to know when to get resourceful to get the job done.
5. Carl = Science
Carl may be a mad scientist when it comes to smarts, but personality wise he fits a science major to a T. Science majors are determined individuals. They know how to put in the hard work to get what they want. And when they want something, nothing is going to get in their way.
7. V = Fashion
There has yet to be an episode on Shameless where I don't see V strutting off a fabulous outfit. Fashion majors are bold, confident people who know how to step outside of the box. And if that doesn't sound exactly like V than I don't know what does.
8. Kev = Social Work
Kev has lived through the system and has seen how difficult it can be. Social worker majors have a lot of drive in them, not only to get the work done but to also make a difference. I see that same type of drive in Kev when it comes to his family and business. Along with that to great social worker you have to have passion and a big heart. Two things that Kev most definitely has.
9. Svetlana = Business/ Marketing
Like Business/ Marketing majors Svetlana knows how to not only get what she wants but also how to give the people what they want. Not only that but she knows how to multitask, a business/ marketing majors biggest asset. She is crafty, beautiful, and brilliant. All while making money left and right.
10. Frank = Drop out
Frank is that kid you only saw on the first day of call and then the rest of the semester watched stumble to and from the bars. It is not until finals time when they finally realize how much they have screwed up and need to either leave town now or cram a whole semesters worth of material into their brain by test day.
11. Monica = Communication
Monica may be crazy, but man does she know how to talk. Communication majors need to be great with people. Not be afraid to go up to anyone and strike up a conversation about anything.
12. Mickey = English
English majors are good with their words, both on paper and in person. By just their words they can leave you feeling like a million bucks or totally defeated. Mickey may choose his fists over his words sometimes, but when he does talk he knows how to leave an impact in some way.
13. Karen = Theater
Like Karen Art/ Theater majors know how to put on a great show. They keep the audience guessing all the time on what exactly is gonna happen next. There is never a dull moment when they are around.
14. Shelia = Undecided
Like undecided majors, Shelia is very go with the flow. Just going day by day and doing what needs to get done. That is until one day inspiration and passion hits full force and they are off doing what they love.
15. Jimmy = History
Jimmy is that History professor that people either love or hate, there is no in between. This is not at all to bash on History majors. Like history majors Jimmy is always telling stories and knows insane details that know one else would ever remember.
16. Mandy = Math
Those who major in math are extremely smart. Though sometimes they do not always know how to balance between their studying and their social life. Mandy is kinda like a math major in the sense that she is a smart girl who just doesn't always know how to balance things out.
17. Jody = Psychology
Jody may be a sensitive soul, but he understands people. Not only that, but patient and forgiving. All key things needed to be a successful a psych major.
