How To Turn A Hobby Into A Career

Imagine waking up every morning and living the happiest life because, you guessed it, your favorite hobby has turned into your career. All of the coloring books you've ever filled in and the cool photos you've taken of your Starbucks have officially become part of your portfolio for your resume that you used to land your dream job, and life could not be better. It's not as hard as you think, living the life you've always dreamt of. You just have start, and never look back. Here are a few tips on how I am turning my hobby into my career.

I've always loved writing. Its been something that I've always enjoyed and felt semi-good at. Another field I enjoy just as much is fashion. I love putting cute outfits together, as well as taking cute pictures and describing the pieces through posts. It was only recently that I recognized that I could start a career incorporating everything that I love: writing, fashion and photography. Once I realized that I could turn my dreams into reality, I quickly searched online in hope to find a place to begin my journey.

After searching long and hard, I finally came across many different outlets where I could express what I feel good at (fashion, photography, and writing), one being The Odyssey. The Odyssey has helped me brainstorm and come up with many different topics to write about, as well as teach me the importance of deadlines. This opportunity has been very beneficial for me, so that one day if I stay on the right track, I can create my own blog and eventually make a solid career this way!

An important thing to remember when it comes to turning your hobby into a career is to remember that it is something you should always ultimately be enjoying. Sure, it's easy to get aggravated while working, but ultimately, this career is supposedly built upon something you love, so never forget that! If things start to get too rough and make you question your hobby, forget about it and work with things that work with you. Alter things to make everything compliment and work well together!

Finally, remember that your life should be what makes you happy, not what makes you the most money. There is so much more to living than owning the latest trends. In forty years, are you going to remember how much money you made, or how happy you were? Think about it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
