At multiple schools across the country, one must write a thesis in order to graduate. But one major issue that comes up is the simple, but yet not simple at all, question of 'how?' How does one write a thesis? Well, hopefully, this article will help you out.

1. Cry.

Just cry because writing a thesis is literal hell. Actually, hell would probably be more enjoyable than this.

2. Build yourself up and do a little research.

Give yourself a little pep talk, like "You need to do this to graduate. You've been preparing for this moment for the past four years. You've got this." Then, go to your school's library or go online to search for information. Even if it's just one article or a book, just find a couple sources and bits of information at a time to hopefully keep you from going insane so quickly into the process.

3. Cry again.

Cry because there will be maybe two articles and zero books on the topic of your choosing when others are finding hundreds, if not thousands, of both but you don't want to change your topic because it's something you're passionate about. Yup, just cry.

4. Question your need of a diploma.

Do you really need a fancy piece of paper with a bunch of letters and your name on it? You're more than likely not going to get a job within your field, so what does it matter if you even graduate?

5. Pour your heart out to your thesis adviser.

I mean, they're there to help you with your thesis and clearly you're doing a great job handling it on your own so far, so they kind of have to be there for you. After all, they agreed to this, maybe not the whole mental instability and wanting to jump off a cliff instead of writing the thesis thing, but they still agreed to help.

6. Go for the first month in complete denial that there even is a thesis that is due at the end of the semester.

Thesis? What thesis? I don't have to do a thesis. Even if I did, I don't need to worry about it. I still have three months. It's fine. *internally panics*

7. Realize that you have no choice but to do it.

Okay, so no matter how hard you try, you're not going to get away with not doing a thesis. Talk to your adviser, get a schedule set, show them the information you've found, read through all the information you have, and take it one paragraph at a time. Don't worry about your introduction or conclusion until the end, but take it one subject at a time. You'll be surprised at how easy you'll be able to get the thesis done.

8. Laugh at when you panic, then freak out because you still have to present it. Then, start the cycle over again.

Nope. Done. I'll be in this grave I dug for myself.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
