If you're anything like me, you are craving a change of scenery. If you're anything like me, you don't have much saved up specifically for travel. So, in order to take these trips without breaking your bank, here are some tips and tricks:

1. Pick a cheap place to travel to.

There are some cities that are just inherently more expensive than others. If you're traveling to Boston or New York City, your trip is likely going to be more expensive than somewhere like Philadelphia or Austin, Texas. Do some research and find the cheapest places! There are many lists online but here is my favorite: https://www.moneycrashers.com/best-us-cities-travel-budget/

2. Find cheap flights.

While flying isn't always the cheapest option, if you do your research, you can find amazingly cheap flights. The key is flexibility! Try using https://www.kayak.com/, they allow you to pick your departure area and explore cheap flights all around the world. Be open-minded and you might just find your next favorite destination.

3. Cheap accommodations.

While traveling, you spend the most money on flights and accommodations. However, if you're willing to open yourself up to new experiences while meeting people from all over, give hostels a try. They are always cheaper than hotels and if you book through a website like hostelworld.com, you can determine if they are reliable and a good fit for you! Another option is Air B and B's. While generally a little pricier than hostels, you can still find amazing deals for a good location.

4. Limit the drinks.

While traveling, it's always fun to taste/drink the culture of a different city. However, drinks will definitely increase your bill. When eating, look for cheap places that still allow you to experience the culture and limit the number of drinks you buy! Drinking can double your bill if you aren't careful!

5. Find free or cheap activities in the area.

When traveling on a budget, skip out on the super expensive activities. While yes, it'd be fun to go skydiving in Switzerland, save that for when you're a little older with a more stable income. Instead, do a quick google search for cheap activities! You can always check Groupon for steals!

6. Saving up!

When you're young, saving for a trip can be tricky. If you work, put 40% of your paycheck in your savings, 40% for your travel fun, and 20% for current spending money. It might take some time to save up, but you'll be grateful you didn't just use all your paychecks and put your entire savings towards a vacation!

Happy travels, kids!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
