5 Easy Ways To Healthily Release Negative Emotions

Finding ways to rid yourself of sadness, anger, etc. can be difficult. There is no reason to hold it all in. With these tips, you will be able to relieve your body in a healthy way.

1. Yell out a song

Ever just need to get a good yell out? Yelling the lyrics of a song is a great way to release pent up anger. Usually I personally prefer doing this when I am in my car, but you could really achieve doing this anywhere.

2. Go for a drive

Not only can you yell a song in a car, but you can also cry or talk yourself through a problem without feeling any shame. Without anyone around, you have the freedom to express your emotions with no judgement. When having a bad day, take the backroad, go the scenic route, and don't forget to take your time.

3. Work out

Working out is a physical activity that not only helps your body but it helps your mind. Cardio is a great way to clear your mind. Go on a run, ride a bike, or jump some rope. Lifting is a stress reliever. After lifting you feel as if you are not weighed down by anything. Working out is a great way to reopen your mind.

4. Write everything out, then destroy it

Writing out your feelings can be very beneficial. Keeping it in a place you can read it though, might be a bad idea. Having the ability to read your problems could cause you to dwell on them, so once you are finished, rip it up. If you are a person that needs to get the anger out in a more aggressive manner, try writing everything on a plate and shattering it.

Do not live in the past. Get it all out, get rid of it, and move on.

5. Dance it out

Throw your own little dance party! Crank up your guilty pleasure music, (mine is the 2010s), and jump around without a care in the world. This will give you a chance to put a little pep in your step and remember that there are positive things around you.

Never let your negative emotions run your life. There is always a way to make a situation better. See the bright side of every problem you endure.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
