The Fourth of July is upon us. This upcoming celebration marks the 240th year since our founding fathers declared independence from England and established the United States of America as its own sovereign nation. In recognition of the celebration of the best nation to ever exist, here are a few ways we should utilize our freedom to celebrate it.
1. Red, White and Boom.
Nothing says God bless America like fireworks. A totally necessary unnecessary amount of fireworks. This guy has the right idea.2. There is no such thing as being "overly patriotic."
This man is three-deep in patriotism. Follow his example. Enough said.3. Do something never seen before
Like use a beer can flamethrower to start the family bbq grill.
4. Remind everyone about our winning record.

5. Watch The Patriot
This is 90 minutes of pure American revolutionary dominance over the redcoats. Plus, this is Mel Gibson at his peak and you can't disregard that.6. Bruce Springsteen marathon.
Buy "Born in the USA" by The Boss, Bruce Springsteen. Put it on repeat and you will not be disappointed.
7. Enjoy America's Pastime
This means actually go to a baseball game. Endure nine innings and participate in the seventh inning stretch. It'll do you good, but probably not your wallet.
8. Tell a freedom Joke
Classic way to break the ice at the block party.9. Consume an unhealthy amount of apple pie.
Such calories. Much worth it.
10. Pray for the Cowboys. America's team needs it
11. Find a vet and thank them.
We are only able to celebrate our freedoms, our liberties and our independence because of those who have served and fallen for these ideals. So, find a vet either if its in your family, a spouse or someone on the street and say thank you. If you can stop by a local military cemetery and pay respect to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in order for us to live free today.
12. Honor this Flag
From the time our founding fathers declared independence, to the war on terrorism being waged in the middle east against ISIS and other terrorist organizations, we have lost over 1.1 million men and women. They did not die in vain. They died protecting our nation, their families and our nation's ideals. This flag has gone through many changes and has adorned many of our nation's children coming home from war. It is the ultimate symbol of freedom and sacrifice. So, for today remember when you look at this flag remember everything that was sacrificed underneath its colors.
