How To Go To A Music Festival With 5 Guys

Ever lived on a farm for 5 days with 5 of your closet guy friends? Me too. This past June I attended Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN with my boyfriend and our 4 friends. Any girl would probably agree that camping out in the Tennessee heat with strictly testosterone isn’t the most comfortable of situations. However, I don’t regret a second spent with Matthew, Jacob, Hunter, Brett, and Josh. Enduring camping with a group of people at a music festival is a whole other level of friendship in itself, nonetheless if you ever find yourself experiencing a long musical weekend packed to the brim with bro time, here are a few tips:

1. Channel your inner dude

When you are camping with five guys, you just have to accept the fact you will probably transform into a dude for the weekend. Chanel your inner man and own it. Drink a warm beer if you have too.

2. Make hot dogs and quesadillas, often.

We already know that food is the fastest way to any man's heart, at a music festival or not. Whether it was my significant other or my guy friend, it is always cool to go out of your way to put food in someone's belly. If you have the supplies whip your guy friends up some quick food it's easy and creates an everlasting bond of friendship.

3. When in doubt, dance it out.

I believe that is all that needs to be said here. Break boundaries through spontaneous dance moves. You have no other choice to just let your guard down for the weekend and be yourself.

5. Stay positive, humble, and happy.

I would be lying if i didn't say there were times i felt overwhelmed spending an inseparable weekend with 5 guys. It is difficult supplying all the girl power in one squad, but like at any music festival in general, the best policy is to stay positive and appreciate the people you are with. I truthfully do not know how i would have made it through the weekend without the humor, love, and positivity from the guys I experienced Bonnaroo with.

The experience overall is something i will never forget and never regret. Try things out of your comfort zone. You will be surprised by the everlasting memories you will make a long the way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
