I will admit it, balancing your life is truly one of the hardest things to do. Coming from a girl who likes to do a million things at the same time, balancing is key to my success. But how does one achieve balance? Simple, I can tell you a small secret: organization! If you organize your life in the simplest of ways, that will transcend to the rest of your day. Start in the morning, you have a set schedule: You wake up, take a shower, brush your teeth, eat some breakfast and dress up for the day ahead. How do you organize your morning? You can pick out your outfit the night before or even prepare your breakfast beforehand too. Little things like that can help tremendously. Another thing that I do to help balance my crazy life is buy an agenda. Oh My Goodness! How agendas have changed my life for the better. I am an old fashion gal that loves to write down everything by hand. Trust me, it can be fun to buy an agenda and start writing your meetings or plans down.
Tips to keep your agenda going for the rest of the year:
1. Be consistent.
2. Plan your week on Sunday night to know what you have ahead.
3. Never make any plans before consulting your agenda.
4. Color coordinate EVERYTHING.
5. And have fun decorating it by adding stickers or motivational quotes!
Last tidbit to keep your life balanced: find a physical activity that you love to do. For me, I am a yoga/Pilates/Zumba lover. I have recently been reintroduced to the gym and found a love for these three things. Second thing I will admit; I am lazy and truly not a fan of gym time, but when I found my perfect group of physical activities to do, I latched on. Why does physical activity help? Because it helps you clock out of your busy life and helps you re center yourself. For me, Pilates does just that. It helps block out the exterior world and brings me to a Zen place. Don’t get me wrong, Pilates ain’t easy, but it is fun.
