It's coming close to that time of year where love is in the air, chocolate is being sold in huge amounts, and people are looking for a significant other to spend their time with (for at least a day). You might be looking for that special someone, or just someone to cuddle and watch Netflix with. Here are a few tips to find your bae for the holidays:
1. Learn how to cook
(giphy.com)
Nothing says romantic like a well-cooked meal with some wine, but well-cooked doesn't mean heating up some ramen; there needs to be steak, seafood, or something that takes some effort in order to show that you really took the time to impress this person. Now if this is a Tinder match just coming over for Valentine's Day, you might do something more simple like grilled chicken; but let's be real, everyone loves a good meal. Class up the meal with some wine (I'd recommend a cabernet sauvignon because that shit is delicious).
2. Send bae a candy gram
(happyhomefairy.com)
Everyone loves candy. Find out their favorite candy and send some pieces their way. This is a helpful reminder that they're special to you and you took the time to figure out their favorite candy and send it to them. What if you don't know their favorite candy? Then this person isn't bae. And if bae doesn't like candy, find a new bae because candy is where it's at.
3. Strike up a conversation at the gym
(giphy.com)
It's getting close to the time where people start working out religiously to get a Spring Break bod so most likely your bae will be at the gym some time or another. This is a great time to get close and learn more about them as a person. Also, you show them that you care about your body just as much as they do (or just pretend like you do, we all know you love pizza more).
4. Send out an application for baes
(imgur.com)
Sometimes you just don't have the courage to get out and try and meet new people so why not send out an application for your perfect bae? This probably won't work well for you, but hell you might as well give it shot because Valentine's Day calls for desperate measures. Maybe figure out their favorite movies on Netflix or their favorite cuddle position. This is a great time to boost up your resume skills.
5. Send bae a pizza
(giphy.com)
If there's one thing in this world that's better than love itself, it's pizza. Pizza is the comfort food that can cure all pain and bring people together. Nothing says "I love you" like a large box of cheesy pizza. If your bae does this, then keep them around. If they're willing to send you a pizza without taking a bite, they are the real deal.
6. Send a note
(swoonreads.com)
Take it back to the middle school days and send bae a note that professes your love for them. A classic note shows that you're into the simpler times in life. Don't forget, however, to include a check yes or no box.
7. Invite them over for Netflix and chill
(giphy.com)
And here it is. The infamous Netflix and chill. This is a Valentine's Day staple and a perfect way to find a bae for the holidays. With hours of streaming delight, you're sure to have a great Valentine's Day.
8. Double punch so they know it's real
(giphy.com)
We've all been in that position where you've used up all of your punches for the week and still want to eat on campus. Show bae that it's real by double punching for them. A free platter of buffalo bites just says "I love you" like none other.
9. When all else fails, you have alcohol
(giphy.com)
If you're unable to find a bae for Valentine's Day, don't worry because you have alcohol there by your side. You don't need no man/woman, all you need is a some food, a new movie, and a big glass of your drink of choice.
