What is the new "thing" now at every college campus? Having a voice... via laptop stickers. Within 30 seconds, a glance at a student's laptop can give you a clear picture of his or her preferences and priorities. New to this trend? Here is how to adhere to becoming a laptop sticker enthusiast:

1. The Token Apple Sticker*

Start with the basics. In your MacBook, iPhone or any other Apple product box, there is always a pair of white Apple logo stickers. No one ever knew where exactly where to place these. It's not even a question now if you are looking for the perfect first status symbol.

*Disclaimer: It is probably not the best idea to place an Apple sticker on a Dell or Asus. Just think about how much you would personally offend Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft.

2. The School Spirit Sticker

Walk to your college bookstore. You are almost guaranteed to find a free sticker in there or find someone who could help you find one. If worst comes to worst, you can attend another freshmen summer orientation, where you find yourself coming home with a big ole' bag of college-related papers, cups, pencils, and... stickers.

3. The Typical Brand Sticker

Order a pair of overpriced sandals or a long-sleeved shirt with a whale across the whole back. If you have ever wondered why the price might be a little unreasonable, think about the other essential you receive with your purchase... A sticker to show off on your laptop.

4. The Fangirl Sticker

If you could kiss any superstar right now, whether is be an actor, musician, athlete, or... an animated character, invest in their face (on a sticker). Brand them and place them on your laptop to let everyone know they are yours, and yours only.

5. The Sister Sticker

The best place for the sticker of your letters you got from your big is on your laptop for your whole college campus to see. There is an unspoken rule in every sorority to show off your letters whenever you possibly can. We are proud of the family we have become a part of. We are grateful for the privilege of getting to run home to that special place on bid day. G.D.I.? Just roll your eyes and ignore this.

6. The Most Important Sticker

Think about the reason you are here on Earth. Think about the reason you wake up everyday. Find a sticker for Him and place it on your laptop. Any inspirational sticker that satisfies you will suffice for what you believe in!

This trend is so popular because it is cheap. Chief Marketing Officer of the sticker company, Redbubble, sums this up perfectly in stating, “Stickers are a simple and flexible way for people to express their personal style.” So get sticking!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
