How To Be A Professional Procrastinator

How To Be A Professional Procrastinator
The Ithican

Looking to completely waste your time and get absolutely nothing accomplished on a Sunday night? Here are some exhilarating activities to assure no work gets done.

1. Coloring

It's very in this fall. Especially mosaic prints. You can buy coloring books pretty much everywhere, as long as you try!

2. Watch movie trailers

Addicting. Make a list of all of the new movies you want to see and waste your day away.

3. Stumbleupon

If you haven't heard of this website, FIO (figure it out). You can select all of the categories you're interested in and get lost in the stumbling world. I strongly believe this was created for fellow procrastinators.

Here's the link! https://www.stumbleupon.com/

4. Paint Your Nails

A great way to spend some glorious time. You need to pick the right color, and then painting is a process in itself, and you have to let it dry.

5. Facetime the rents or siblings

Find out every detail that has been happening at home without your presence, though, they are probably guaranteed to nag you about the work you aren't doing...

6. Facetime literally anyone willing

Once you get annoying with the fam, reach out to your long lost camp friend, your dog, your hometown homies, or your roommate laying in bed next to you, if all else fails.

7. Shop

Online shop with money you don't have; it's a no-brainer. Don't you need five new shirts, a belt, fresh socks, and a tribal backpack?

8. Snack

When in doubt, always nom. Go on Buzzfeed and come up with a dope recipe to make.

9. Netflix binge

Find a new terrible series to binge watch and beat your record for amount of episodes watched in a day.

10. Stalk yourself on Facebook

C'mon, we are all guilty. Gotta make sure your image is looking fresh.

11. Peruse that Facebook/Insta feed

While you're at it, you might as well stalk everyone else's lives.

12. Distract other friends doing work in hopes of getting their attention

A great place to find people to distract is in the library. Maybe bombard them with with texts or repeatedly post hilarious videos on their timeline.

13. Clean your room

How can you possibly get work done with a messy room? Clean that ish from top to bottom before you put any pen to paper.

14. Sleep

So cleaning your room was much more strenuous and active then you planned...

15. Plan a fake luxury vacation

Look up flights to your picture perfect destination. Find the most expensive hotel there, and "book" the presidential suite. It's nice to step away from reality every once in a while.

Happy Procrastinating!

xoxo, Caro

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
