28. Dementors are no longer used to guard Azkaban, and the number of these creatures has greatly decreased because there is now less despair and evil in the world.
27. The centaur Firenze was allowed back in the centaur herd. They decided that his pro-human leanings were not so bad.
26. Slytherin house has become significantly diluted since the end of the second war, and is no longer fully pure blood, but its dark reputation lingers around.
25. Aberforth Dumbledore still works at the Hog's head.
24. All the former members of Dumbledore's Army still have their coins, which they treat as badges of honor.
23. The dark marks of the death eaters eventually faded until they appeared to be scars. They no longer burn.
22. Fans will remember that the pro-Quidditch player and former durmstrang student Victor Krum was last seen in the book series moping about there being no good women left. Krum did eventually find a woman in his home country of Bulgaria to settle down with.
21. After Lavender Brown was attacked by Fenrir Greyback in the Battle of Hogwarts, she did survive from the injuries inflicted. However, where she is or what she is doing now is not known.
20. Kingsley Shacklebolt became the new Minister of Magic after Voldemort's death.
19. Nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, the school has a defense against the dark arts teacher who has been around for more than a few years. Voldemort's death broke the jinx that had previously been on the position.
18. Harry sometimes gives guest lectures on Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts.
17. Arthur Weasley fixed Sirius' motorbike and gave it to Harry.
16. Harry will take his family to see Dudley's when they are in the neighborhood. Harry's children dread these visits.
15. All of the remaining death eaters were killed or imprisoned with the exception of the Malfoys. Nineteen years on Draco is a caring father to his son Scorpius, and he raises him to have better values than he did as a child. Harry and Draco never became friends but they came to better understand and respect each other.
14. After serving as an Auror for a number of years, Neville moved on to teach as the Herbology professor at Hogwarts.
13. Luna Lovegood is married to the grandson of Newt Scamander, Rolf Scamander. They have twin boys Lorcan and Lysnader, and the couple travels the world searching for crazy creatures. (Side note: You'll be able to see Newt Scamander in action this November in the film "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them"!) Luna was always one of my favorite characters, and I really like this future for her.
12. Ginny became a professional Quidditch player for the Holyhead Harpies for a few years before retiring to raise her and Harry's children. Now she is the senior Quidditch correspondent at the Daily Prophet. For some reason this just makes me really happy.
11. Ron worked with his brother George at Weasley's Wizard Wheezes before he officially became an Auror.
10. Percy is now happily married to his wife, Audrey Weasley. The pair have two daughters, Molly and Lucy. How nice that he named one of his children after his mom.
9. George Weasley married Angelina Johnson. They had two children named Fred and Roxanne. This one tends to make fans smile and cry and the same time.
8. After the war was over, Hermione's first act was to find her parents in Australia and restore their memories. Harry's was to make sure the wizarding world new that Snape was a hero and on Dumbledore's side.
7. Despite saying she had no plans of pursuing a career in magical law, that is exactly what Hermione does. She has successfully advanced the rights of magical creatures and eliminated the old pro-pure -blood laws of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. She is the head of this department.
6. As of 2007, the head of the Auror office is Harry Potter himself.
5. By 2017, Hagrid is still working at Hogwarts. He is 88 years old.
4. Harry lost the ability to speak parseltongue when the fragment of Voldemort's soul in him was destroyed. This is pivotal in Harry's being able to move from his past I think. And despite its occasional usefulness, I'm sure Harry was glad to be rid of it.
3. The Resurrection Stone was never rediscovered after Harry dropped it into the forbidden forest. A centaur's hood buried it in the ground and its location is unknown.
2. When Voldemort died, his soul, as damaged and as little left of it as it was, left him condemned to exist in the stunted, sickly infant like form Harry saw under the bench of the King's Cross limbo. I can't say he didn't earn it
1. Dolores Umbridge was arrested, interrogated, and imprisoned from crimes against Muggleborns. Now this probably makes many fans more happy than anything else on this list. Umbridge was the annoying little old hag that everyone hated even more than Voldemort, and people loved to hate her. She was evil in the most bothersome way, and the acts of vile cruelty she committed in the series no doubt earned her a special place in wherever it is bad witches go when they die.
Now, questions I couldn't find the answers to. What was Ron's first action after the Battle of Hogwarts? Whatever happened to Rita Skeeter? How are Bill and Fleur doing? What happened to Charlie? What were Cedric Diggory's parents up to during the second war and in the years since? They would have had some of the most motivation to take action for better changes, so what did they do? Does Harry still use his invisibility cloak? Hopefully we'll discover answers to these questions and more!
