We all know what it's like to freak out about midterms. We may want to panic, procrastinate and call our moms crying, but do these things, and you may just be worse off.
1. Get to the library around 7 p.m. ready to study.
Motivation is key to studying for midterms. For me, motivation doesn't last long, which is one of the main reasons studying for midterms is one of the worst things you have to do in college.
2. Cry.
I never know where to start studying. There are either a million and one vocabulary words to learn, or 20 equations to memorize that, for some reason, teachers don't feel are necessary to include on the test.
3.Make some notecards.
In high school, one of the only things I learned was to study with notecards. Although notecards are God-sent when it comes to memorizing vocabulary and simple facts, it is impossible to study just about everything else.
4. Cry some more.
Now that you've realized notecards aren't going to help you as much as you thought they would, you have another meltdown because how are you supposed to learn 6 weeks of material in 12 hours without being able to memorize notecards?
5. Study your note cards.
After your second meltdown, you decide that being at least 60 percent ready for your test is better than not being prepared at all.
6. Sit on your phone for two hours refreshing social media to avoid studying.
You feel that after writing all of your notecards, you deserve a break, so you decide to get on your phone. You tell yourself that you are only going to take a 15-minute break, and 15 minutes turn into two hours. Unfortunately, it's getting later and you haven't really learned anything at all.
7. Socialize with your friends to avoid studying.
Now that you have seen everything going on outside of the library, you decide that going to see how your friends are doing is more productive than studying yourself.
8. It is now 11 p.m., and you have yet to learn a single notecard.
You have been in the library for four hours now, and you haven't learned a thing. At this point, you decide to put in your headphones and focus for a few hours so that you at least pass your test with a D at best.

9. Get back on social media to see that nothing has changed.
Already knowing that you're going to fail, you decide to get back on social media to refresh and feel like you are socially connected in the wonderful world of the internet.
10. Look to see that it is 1 a.m.
Now that you have been at the library for a total of six hours, you decide that getting sleep before class is more important than actually passing the class, so you study for 15 minutes before giving up.
11. Give up and go home, because there's always tomorrow.
Sadly, you have given up, so you pack up to go home. Unfortunately, you are now one day closer to a midterm that you are very unlikely to pass with flying colors.
