"Time is money, money is power, power is pizza, and pizza is knowledge" this one of just many quotes by the fabulous April Ludgate. April is one of many awesome characters from Parks and Recreation, but unlike all the other characters she is extremely pessimistic and slightly morbid. She is extremely honest and there are many times in every episode where she makes me go "oh that is so me"! She is not only sassy, but she isn't afraid to be herself. She doesn't care what people think, and as I get older and become an adult I have discovered that as I become much more like April and here are the reasons why.

She summed up being a working adult.

The fact is nobody starting out in the real world knows what they're doing, and we're all literally just trying to figure it out as we go along and that's OK.

She also said what we were all feeling about becoming a responsible adult.

Enough said.

She expressed how she feels about other people perfectly.

When you become an adult you slowly begin to stop liking people more and more.

She wasn't afraid to tell people why she hated to talk to them.

Personally 90% of the time I think that what the people around me are saying things that are completely stupid, and I sometimes feel like telling them that they are.

Not to mention how she feels about nature.

Nature and camping aren't my favorite and when the air is to fresh it kinda just makes me say yeah no.

Like her I most of the time don't enjoy meeting a lot of people at once.

I am a pretty outgoing person, but some days I can't handle it so this is how I feel.

But sometimes you meet someone you actually like.

But when I do want to meet people they immediately become my best friend.

But if that new friend touches you you're gonna lose it!

That doesn't mean I want them to touch me.

After a bad day she like most felt like giving up like I would but then...

At the end of the day her goals are extremely understandable as well.

Like I said I hate stupid people, so like her I enjoy making fun of them I also like enjoying wine while doing this.

April is my spirit animal, and she always knows what she wants.

At the end of the day she is an independent woman like myself.

Praise my spirit animal April Ludgate her laziness is truly inspiring!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
