It's almost the new year, and that means it's almost time for you to come up with your own New Year's resolution! But... How long do you think yours is going to last?
This issue with most New Year's resolutions is that they are so unrealistic. There's no way anyone can change their entire lifestyle in a day. In order to achieve your goals, you need to make sure that your goals are something that you can realistically achieve.
While there are some people who can achieve who larger goals, it's incredibly difficult to entirely change your lifestyle.
So, here are some resolutions that can get you where you want to be without risking you give up on your goals.
1. Instead of aiming to go to the gym for hours every day, go for an hour every two or three days.
2. Instead of omitting fast food from your diet, try to only eat out once a week.
3. Try to buy at least two fruits or vegetables every time you go to the grocery store.
4. Try to drink one more glass of water than you drink of soda.
5. Try to go to bed one hour earlier than you typically do.
6. Aim to clean your area every night before you go to bed.
7. Instead of studying for hours, try studying in 30-minute intervals and taking 10-15 minute breaks.
8. Download apps like Duolingo to learn the languages you've always wanted to learn on your phone.
9. To finish the books you want to finish in the new year, read 10 pages every night before you go to bed.
10. Take walks to clear your mind in times of stress. This will help you feel better mentally and physically.
11. Instead of doing work by yourself, find someone to do things with you, or at least do their own things while you do yours.
12. If you want to quit a bad habit, tell your friends, family, or other people you trust who will help you not only to kick your habit and stick to it.
13. Watch YouTube videos on different hobbies you want to start in order to see the easiest way to start.
With these tips, you can achieve all of your New Year's resolutions, no matter what they might be. And remember, even if you don't achieve the goal you set in January, you can still become the person you want to be.
