So it's that time of year again where you scramble to find roommates and figure out where you're going to shack up for another nine months. For some of us, that's easy. We know who we want to live with and where and have not a worry in the world. For the rest of us, we have chest pains just thinking about it. What if no one wants to live with me? What if everywhere I want to live is all filled up? What if, what if, what if? Well, if that's you allow me to give you a little information about your options in the beautiful town of Farmvegas.
On campus/Longwood-managed housing:
All the information you need to know about Longwood-managed housing can be found here , also with real-time videos of the living spaces!
On campus, you have the option of dorms, apartments and even townhomes.
As far of your dorms go, you've got quite a few options if that is what you are looking for:
Curry/Frazer
Both great suite-style dormitories with lounges and kitchens on alternating floors. An RA on every floor and an RTA (Resident Technical Assistant) to assist you in any needs you might have. Curry is a dry dorm, meaning no alcohol is permitted and each building is co-ed.
Cox/Wheeler
Another suite-style set of dormitories with lounges to use for studying or relaxing. These dorms are a bit newer and have a more modern look to the inside of them. Wheeler houses two floors of honors students. Like all other dorms, they are equipped with RA's and RTA's to help you.

ARC (Academic Residential Community)
One of Longwood's two all-female residential areas, ARC has a kitchen and two lounges on most floors. ARC also has RAs and RTAs to help you out.
Stubbs
The second of Longwood's two all-female residential areas, Stubbs houses the sorority population at Longwood. Recently renovated in 2014, Stubbs is equipped with lounges and a new kitchen. RAs and RTAs are also available here.
South Ruffner
South Ruffner is a building that has single and double rooms and has all the amenities the other dormitories on campus have. RAs and RTAs are available to assist you.
Sharp/Register
Our newest residential buildings that are still coming up on our campus are set for move in Fall 2016. These buildings will be mainly sophomore housing and are mirrored of one another. These buildings will also be equipped with all the resources you may need.
For apartments and townhomes go, your options are as follows:

If you are not just worried about the place you will be living, but also the person or people you will be living with, fear not. You have options:
Facebook Roommate Finder @ Longwood https://www.facebook.com/groups/323571411086285/
If you are living in a dorm or most Longwood-managed housing, you can use the system they offer you for preferences and go random.
Talk to your friends, classmates and look for flyers. People are always looking for roommates, you just have to be open and put yourself out there!
Sunchase also has preferences when you sign your lease if you do not have a roommate.
So good luck my friends, put yourself out there and make yourselves educated!!
