After the election, when the dust settled and the view became clear, Donald Trump emerged victorious to the dismay of many. I wasn't much more than annoyed, since I have a burning hate for Hillary and her wishy-washy ways, but that didn't mean I was ok with the buffoon as our next president. The general consensus for the liberal minded people was that this was bad. Many conservatives cheered as their dreams became a reality. But what really stood out was how Donald Trump humbly accepted his new appointment. And what really glared was people buying it.
Donald Trump has been unofficially diagnosed as a narcissist by psychologists. Many die-hard psychologists who believe everything has to be done by the book may say that it doesn't count since he has never sat down in a room to be formally observed, but that's not really necessary. It has become clear through his erratic actions that he holds nothing in the system as sacred and thinks very highly of himself. You don't need to be a genius to see that, you just need a pair of working eyes and ears.
Because of how quiet he got after winning, people assumed he calmed down, maybe even became a different person, but the truth is he still takes to Twitter to complain as he's done for a long time. He still conducts business on behalf of his business; We can't assume this means he still will after he is actually president, and though my opinion isn't backed up by enough evidence to hold water, I think it's fair to say he will unconstitutionally still do whatever it is that happens in his Trump empire.
A man can easily fake his actions and words, and I think this is all Trump is doing. Narcissists are known for their manipulative ways and he is no different. All he is doing is trying to passively gain the trust of those who once criticized him just so he can quietly continue to run his shady business. And while distrusting or trusting him won't change a single thing he does and we have no choice but to accept his presidency, everyone should remain critical so that if he seriously squanders his chance, we may get him out of office so that he doesn't screw up anything else. But for now, all we can do it watch on the sidelines and hope he does nothing too ridiculous.
