Why High School Drama Was Not That Big Of A Deal

It really wasn't that big of a deal and it still wouldn't be that big of a deal today.

Why High School Drama Was Not That Big Of A Deal

When you are in high school, EVERYTHING is seen as the end of the world. From relationships to friendships, it all feels like it is falling apart right in front of your eyes. But trust me when I say there are bigger problems you will have to deal with.

People Who Don't Do Their Work And Get Away With It

We have all encountered someone in our lives who has been the person who always seemed to have the perfect excuse for why they were unable to hand in work and it bothered others who do the work and feel like the other person should be punished for lack of effort.

Deciding Where You Sit At Lunch

Picking a seat at lunch can feel like one of the most important decisions as a freshman on their first day because the group of people you will meet at this table could potentially be your friends for the rest of high school and social status matters... NOT! It doesn't matter who you hang out with

What People Think Of You

Worrying what people think of you has always been one of the worst parts of high school because you want to compare yourself to everyone else and worry about what others think. Just realize that you are your own person and there is nothing anyone can do to change that. Just be yourself. You will do a lot better in the long run.

Thinking Every Relationship You Will Be Your Last

High School Relationships are not meant to last. I am not saying they can't last but you need to go explore your life and become the best version of yourself before you let a guy into your life. Relationships are fun but don't make any lifelong plans immediately with that person.

The People Who Don't Study and Do Amazing on The Exam

Remember getting a test back and seeing your grade and getting mad because you studied all night for that exam and your friend who sits next to you got an A after saying she just read the material 5 minutes before the test started. Yes, you will find people like this in the real world outside of college.

When the Teacher Says Not To Do the Assignment in One Night and Someone Does

Procrastination will always affect your life in some way. But trust me, the work will show. But at the same time, you could get a B on the assignment and just be fine with it. Procrastination exists everywhere and there will always be that one person.

When Someone Goes Out of Their Way To Remind the Teacher About Homework

Oh, there was always one kid who took it upon themselves to remind the teacher of a homework assignment which most of the class did not do. That kid was in for it when gym class started, especially if playing dodgeball.

The funny thing is that people think all of this stuff is still big drama in the Adult World too. Put your big kid pants on and do what needs to be done so you can move on to the next day. Stop crying over the little things to happen in life because that won't solve any of your problems. And leave the drama behind in high school where it belongs.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
