Ten years after their show first debuted in 2006, the original cast of "Friday Night Lights" is reuniting. The hit show, that ran from 2006-2011 and spanned five seasons, hit home for many football loving Americans. Adults and teenagers alike enjoyed the rush of high school football in a small town, romance, cheerleaders, BBQ and watching boys grow into men.
The cast will be reuniting in Chicago to run a 10-mile Spartan Race, which is a nod to the 10 years that have passed since their first episode aired. Leave it to Tim Riggins, Lyla Garrity, Matt Saracen and Julie Taylor to run 10 miles together. Here are a couple of things I hope happen at this reunion.
I hope Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch) takes his shirt off.
One of the best parts of "FNL" is Tim Riggins. His character is bad-boy sexy and his abs look painted on. Let's all pray he does the whole race shirtless.
Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford) got married in real life and I hope he brings his wife.
It is so hard to imagine Matt Saracen with anyone but Julie Taylor, but he got married! And the wedding pictures are amazing. It is hard to believe the "FNL" actors are getting married and settling down. Especially "young Matt Saracen."
I hope Julie Taylor (Aimee Teegarden) looks more like Julie Taylor...
In her most recent photos, Aimee Teegarden is almost unrecognizable. While she was just 15 when "FNL" began, she finished the show at 21 years old. She has clearly grown since then, but her dark hair and heavy eye makeup make her look like someone else completely.
I hope we see Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and Tami Taylor (Connie Britton) at the finish line.
Who doesn't love this couple? They are #relationshipgoals. They support each other in so many ways and make sure family comes first. While both Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler have gone on to star in more television series of their own ("Nashville," "American Horror Story," and "Bloodline") , it would be amazing to see them reunited.
When the cast finishes the race, I hope the celebrate with BBQ.

I hope they all run in Dillion Panthers gear.
Every "FNL" fan recognizes that Dillion Panther garb the second they see it. The gray t-shirt with Dillion Football written on it or the blue cheering uniforms that Lyla Garrity (Minka Kelly) wore so well. How fun would it be if they celebrated their reunion in #tbt style?
