When I am feeling down sometimes I don’t always go to friends or family. I go to my computer and look up quotes that make me feel better. These quotes have gotten me through some rough times in my life. I have saved these for days when I am not myself:

1. Just because you don't look like somebody who you think is attractive doesn't mean you aren't attractive. Flowers are pretty but so are Christmas lights and they look nothing alike."-Unknown

I had/have so many insecurities growing up. Being Latina I never looked like any of my friends. I have dark hair and dark skin, while all of my friends are either blonde or brunet with pretty skin. Growing up all the guys would go for my friends and I thought it was because I looked different from the others. Then I read this quote one day and I realized I am beautiful because I am me.

In any relationship you have to communicate with one another.

I have always had trouble with stepping outside of my comfort zone. In order to be the best that you can be you have to make memories and go on crazy adventures.

Sh*t happens and you have to deal with it. You cannot start over. You have to deal with what you did and move forward from the mistakes. In order to do this you have to be the better you.

You have to go out and do what you want to do.

I always tell myself try something new but I get scared of the future. You have to step up and tell yourself that it is worth the outcome. You have to work hard for what you want to do.

I have always loved making art. It is the way that I have always expressed myself in ways that I can’t describe to people. Art and love can make you vulnerable.

You is the best you. Do not try to be someone or something that you are not! Remember you are beautiful and people love you.

Even though it is hard to love your haters, you gave to forgive them or at least try. As Selena Gomez says “Kill ‘em With Kindness”. Being kind to one another is the best medicine for any relationship.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
