Hello Cooler Season...

Hello Cooler Season,

No, I do not mean this is the season in which you get cooler, or your popularity will go up. Of course not, silly! 'Tis the season where busy girls are set to work for their wonderful dates to formal. Whether your formal destination is somewhere warm or cold, does not matter. The cooler is essential. Have no fear, I am here to show you some of the Coolest Coolers that have ever been made in the history of ever.. for inspirational purposes.

To start things off, there is the ever so classy and sharp idea of changing a logo to say the fraternity or the name of your very lucky date. Not only is this design reasonably easy, it represents two of their favorite things... their fraternity, and Blue Moon.

Another idea, is to do a little something different. Never have I seen someone put this much blood sweat and tears into bedazzling, but you'd sure be dazzling your date if you showed up with this to give him.

Something else you could try would be to simply paint their emblem and letters, or if you're down to get a little more artistic and personal, you could do a painting of their fraternity house! Guys cherish the house that they get to live in, whether it looks disgusting and always has a weird smell or not. They would be moved to tears if they had a memorial that reminded them of the old days on their very own cooler, I'm sure of it.

Another fun example would be to do the top of your cooler a complete modge-podge of beer. This is fun because it's like a look inside the cooler, without the top being see-through! It may ruin the surprise of what's in store for them when they open it, but hey. It's still a colorful and creative design that wouldn't take too much time or effort.

If your date is into a certain band, or would appreciate a nice throwback, you could always do this original design of The Beetles or another play on his favorite music or quote!

Along with a favorite band, your date might be a die-hard TV fan. If he's into the classics you could always keep things Fresh with the Fresh Prince or another TV character that is sure to bring a smile to his face.

Now, to TOP things off, on the top of your cooler you could always incorporate you and your date's names or sorority and fraternity around the cup holders and come up with a cute saying. This way he doesn't forget how lucky he is that he's taking you, and you get to leave behind a little bit of you for everyone to see on his kick-butt cooler!

Good luck to all of you brave souls tackling one of these big boxes made of plastic. Remember, no matter how your cooler turns out, you'll still be cool enough to go to formal, I promise.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
