Ladies, I'm here to speak truth to you. You're going to hate what I have to say. Even I hate what I'm going to say, but it is the truth.

Ladies, it is time we stop breaking our own hearts.

You read that correctly.

It is time we stop breaking our own hearts.

It is time that we stop meeting a guy and immediately start building a future with him in our minds. (Don't pretend like you're not guilty of this. I know at least a handful of you understand what I'm talking about).

It is time that we stop dreaming up hypothetical scenarios in our minds, just to end up broken, when the reality of a situation breaks us.

I know too many beautiful, holy women who meet a man, grow close to them and fall in love with these men, just to end up brokenhearted.

I MYSELF AM GUILTY.

It is so easy to jump into things too quickly. It is easy to imagine a future with someone that God Himself doesn't want us to be with.

Relationships require two people. The problem is that many women take friendships or even just men's friendliness as something more than it is. We begin building a future with that man in our minds... and he has no idea!

We end up confused, hurt and bitter because we often read more into situations than we should. We take an Instagram 'like' as interest. We take a group event as a date. We take a friendly smile as flirtation.

When we realize they aren't interested, we begin chasing men. We run behind them, begging for attention. We begin accepting scraps of attention as true affection.

We begin to feel like we don't deserve more, like we aren't worthy of a man who will pursue us.This shouldn't be the case. I'm begging you, don't chase him, dear girl. He isn't for you if he doesn't pursue you.

You shouldn't have to beg him for attention.

He isn't for you if he doesn't pursue you.

You shouldn't have to constantly text him only to have him ignore you.

He isn't for you if he doesn't pursue you.

You deserve more than being his backup plan.

He isn't for you if he doesn't pursue you.

Don't settle. Don't give up hope. God has a plan and it is good.
