This song has such a special meaning to me, it holds a passion that some may not understand. We hear stories about miracles, and the love of God, but what does that mean to you? He knows what we need before we even can even ask about it, he watches over us like you would your own children.
This song is deep to me maybe just because I do not have an earthly father anymore, but I have God. I remember leaving that hospital the day my dad passed away thinking, who is gonna take care of us now? How are we gonna make it? You see your father is supposed to be the man of the house, the one that fixes everything. Well at least thats how I saw my dad. However, since that day I can proudly say my God has taken care of me. He has made sure my mom can work to provide for us, he has kept us safe no matter the situation. He provided ways that I cant even see yet.He has his hand on my life.
Maybe you still have a dad, but God still watches over you. There are things that just flesh and bones cant provide for our spiritual self. Remember as a child/teenager when you would disobeyed your parents and got in trouble? Your father still loved you before and after your mistake. Just like Jesus forgives us.
One of the lyrics in this song really sticks out to me: you know just what we need before we say a word. Isn't it just baffling that he knows before, and after anything that has happened or will happen that he is there. Rather it be peace, joy, or health issues, he knows. Just as a father would, he holds us together and wants the best for us.
Some of you may not know what that's like, to be loved by a true father. To have a dad that provides for his family. A true man that loves his kids doesn't abandon them, that's not love.They don't abuse you,talk down to you, sell you away, harass, or anything horrible. Some people have never seen what a father should be to his children. But my heavenly father will never fail you. Your God can be that father you desperately need. This God will never buy your attention with gifts you don't need. He will be the father that submerges you with gentleness and love that fills your broken heart. God doesn't walk away from us. He is a good good father.
