Having A Summer Internship: As Told By Tina Belcher

Part of being a college student means scavenging for internships every summer, most of the time unpaid, watching the "best time of your life" happen outside while you're stuck sitting in an office from nine to five. No one that hasn't been through this struggle seems to understand it, but Tina Belcher does a pretty good job of summing the experience up.

1. On the first day of work when you're feeling ready.

2. Showing up to the office in the new "business casual" outfit your mom picked out.

3. When you get home after your first day and realize how tired you are after sitting at a desk all day.

4. Getting your list of work for the day.

And then remembering you're not getting paid for any of it.

5. Trying to fit in with your adult coworkers.

6. When you come off too strong trying to make friends with the other interns.

7. When your boss finally tells you "good work."

8. When your boss says only one intern can go to lunch at a time.

And tells the other intern they can go first.

9. When you're on your third cup of coffee before noon.

10. When the new intern sits at your desk without knowing it.

12. When it's a slow day, and you're trying to make conversation.

13. When the clock hits 5 p.m. on Friday and it's time to go home.

14. Trying to refill the printer paper without asking for help.

15. Realizing you spend way too much of your time in the office.

16. When your job for the day is answering phone calls.

And your boss asks who called, but you already forgot their name.

17. When you get assigned a new project at 4:30 p.m.

18. And lastly, being proud of yourself for successfully "boosting your resume."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
