Being Passionate In A Passionless Society

Oftentimes, in today's world, we listen and read stories about how people are passionless in their jobs or what they do. This lack of passion can be seen everywhere from work to even school. When people are passionless in something they often want to give up and quit and stop trying. This passionless feeling has become almost infectious all over the country and currently many of us are lacking passion to do what we want. So what can we do about it? We look to the most passionate people in the world, which is often musicians.

I have never met a musician that isn't passionate about what they do. Whenever you ask a musician about their music, or any music, they are eager and always love talking about it. Musicians have this extreme sense of passion because they love what they do and what they create. The love musicians have for there music is infectious, just like the passionless epidemic that is spreading through the country. I know they have this love because I am a musician. I have written music that at first, sounded awful. But, because I continued to write and edit with the passion I have for music, I wrote a song that I was proud of and love to play.

I have since applied this same passion to my own life in everything I do. Through applying this same passion to my life outside of music, I have seen a great change in my personality, grades, and all around social life. This passion has helped me through some very tough times, and has taken me places where I'd never though I would be, like the University Chorale.

Another way we can see that musicians have passion for what the do is through live music. Live music is the way musicians can express their passion and love for what they do in a social setting. I have never seen a concert or recital where the musician looked like they hated playing music. Musicians put everything they have into their performance and leave it all on the stage just for the audience to enjoy. Could you imagine what our world would be like if we put all the passion we have into everything we do? Our world would be amazing, full of innovation, and have an infectious passion that would not be shaken or destroyed.

So, whenever you feel passionless and don't love what you are doing anymore. Talk to a musician. Chances are they have been in the place where you are but have since felt a spark of passion and know what they love to do. So, instead of giving into the passionless epidemic in this country look up and have passion in what you do. Put so much passion into what you do, so that it becomes infectious to everyone around you. Be as passionate as a musician on stage and that passion will change your life for the better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
