Do you ever see posts on social media with a baby doing literally anything? Of course, you have because people love to post pics of their kids doing literally anything every single day. If people aren't posting pics of their own kids, they're probably sharing posts of other people's children doing literally anything. There is no escaping the madness.
No, seriously. Every single day, someone will tweet a new meme or a response to a tweet saying "OH MY GOD. I HAVE BABY FEVER. I WANNA HAVE KIDS NOW." And you'll just be looking at your computer screen like:
Baby fever is, to me, one of the strangest phenomena in the history of human beings. I have absolutely no desire to have children any time soon, so this may be the reason why I haven't been affected by the baby fever bug. Others may see cute little babies (even when they pissed all over the place), I see little bratty demons.
Babies are some of the most demanding people in the universe, and they're not even potty trained. They want your attention 24/7 unless they're sleeping. They're noisy. They're bratty. They make questionable decisions, mainly because they don't know better at their age. Are you absolutely sure you're not just in love with the child itself and not everything that comes with having a child?
On top of that, babies are super expensive. You have to pay for their food, their diapers, formula, baby toys, schooling, and the list goes on and on. Basically, you're probably gonna be hauling ass when it comes to keeping your baby well-fed and raised right.
Baby fever isn't something I'm affected by at all, and if this statement applies to you, guess what: That makes you NORMAL. It doesn't make you a weirdo or strange because you feel no desire to have children. Those little suckers are not only a ton of work, but they're the reason people say motherhood is a full-time job (which it wholeheartedly is).
You know what else fits all that I just wrote up there about kids? PETS. I love most animals. I always dream of having my own pets one day including three cats. But damn, they can be a LOT of work. But will that stop me from wanting some little furry friends of my own? Not really. Bring on the felines, the canines, and the birds!
If you wanna have children, great! Although having kids is a decision that shouldn't be taken lightly, do not let this article and my thoughts stop you from wanting to do so. But if you don't wanna have children any time soon, that's great, too! Continue to do your thing and be great, and tell the naysayers to back off.
