You're in the car driving away from a new restaurant. An odd feeling overwhelms you, and your stomach drops. You feel something is missing.
Frantically, you reach inside your purse or pockets. Thank God, you find your phone there. In a moment of small relief, you realize you don't see your wallet.
Stop the car.
Pull over.
I swear I placed my wallet in my purse and zipped it up moments ago. Does any one else in the car see it? Its a small pink zipper wallet.
Everybody up. All hands on deck to search the car. Check the trunk, under the seats, it has to be in the door, look in the center console once more.
You're already on your way back to the restaurant. Weird looks from confused costumers and the nosy waiters interrogation raises anxiety.
"How did you know to ask if I was looking for something?"
Loosing all hope before it even gets to that point. Call the credit card company. Cancel everything.
"Hope you didn't have anything of value in that wallet."
Either thanking God you cleaned up your wallet and didn't, or racking your brain to remember all the things you had in there.
Call the DMV. You need to be issued another driver's license.
Call the credit card company. Verify no crazy transactions have been made, and You need a new card.
All your other identification cards, you need to get those re-issued as well.
Thinking back and wondering how you could have lost it, or how it could have been stolen. At what point did I have my purse open for it to fall out. Why didn't you notice it fall out? Could somebody have swiped it so smoothly with out my knowledge?
Every possibility seems impossible, yet the wallet is still nowhere to be found.
All there is left to do is drive to the mall with your updated licence to swipe your new credit card to buy another wallet.
