There are so many times where we sit and think to ourselves, wow, I would love to do this or go here, or achieve this, yet we stop and then doubt our ability to do so. Then we ponder on all of the opportunities we did not take. But if we just believed in ourselves in the first place, we would never have to think about what could have been ever again. Taking a chance and believing in ourselves will stop any doubts in our minds.

There is this fear of not living up to our fullest potential, and regretting it in the end. But there is a way that this could be eliminated completely:

Be more confident in yourself. When you have a mindset that allows you to believe that anything is possible, it is easy to achieve what you have always wanted to.

You have so much more to offer than you even know. You have amazing talents that have been hidden because you are not confident enough in your talents to show others the greatness you have. But you absolutely should be! Your talents are what make you so amazing. No matter what it is, you should know how important it is to express who you are through them.

Never let someone put you down for what you are good at. You know just how important it is to you, so that is all that should matter.

Why are we so intimidated by others that we become so incredibly self conscious about our own abilities? There should be no reason to restrain yourself from what you love most. Especially not because you feel as if you will not shape up to the same amount of success as another person.

Each of us has something unique that makes us who we are and we should not allow the fear of failing take that away. There should be a time where we feel confident enough in ourselves to go out there and express who we truly are through our talents.

So, forget about the fear of not being good enough or not comparing to others because in the end it will only hold you back from everything that you've ever wanted to accomplish. There is nothing you cannot accomplish when you are confident.

Yes, things can go wrong or not as planned but that is just how life goes. You need to know that you can recover from mistakes, pull yourself together, and change things for the better. So, again just be confident!

Stop living in fear and start living your life.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
