I Have Arrived at College.

The adjustment to college can be shaky but here's to those moments when you feel like "I have arrived at college."

When you check your college email more than your personal.

Between assignments, campus events, and club meetings, checking your email is no joke. This leaves less time for checking your personal email for all of the junk, promotion, and sale emails from stores that you can't afford to splurge on anymore because you are now a poor college student.

When you learn to fall asleep to the party happening next door.

It's a Tuesday night...you have an 8 am tomorrow...and these fools are playing 'Closer' by the Chainsmokers for the 100th time.

When you figure out all of the dinning hall hacks.

You now know to never use the metal silverware (sorry planet earth looks like I'll be using the clean plastic for the next 4 years). You know which cashiers are going to make you take your card out of your case and which ones average a longer check out time. Also, everyone told you to never use a tray but you wouldn't even know where to get one even if you wanted to.

When you actually do something with all of the clubs and organizations that you signed up for.

Not sure how you're going to go to all of them but you're thirsty for involvement and friends.

When you pull that first all nighter to get your work done.

You say "never again" but you know you'll be back.

When you go out and come back saying "what. a. night."

That is ... if you can even remember "that" night.

When high school feels like it was ages ago.

It may have only been a few months but high school feels like ages ago and your home town is miles and miles away. At some points it can really hurt the heart but most of the time you're enjoying yourself and you are right where you need to be.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
