I don’t understand how someone can even say winter is their favorite season. It honestly sucks. Who enjoys being cold 24/7 and then walking to class in 27 layers just to sweat it off during class? I hate it, I hate winter.
Yes I will give you it is the holiday season with Thanksgiving, Hanukkah for my Jewish friends, Christmas, and New Years. It is also when football season starts to heat up and get even more heartbreaking when your team loses.
But why in the world do people look forward to snow? Snow is like a big bag of cotton balls destroying the roads and making me feel like I am inside a freezer.
Let me rewind, I love when it snows from November throughNew Years. I especially love when it snows on Christmas, it just feels so right.
But when it starts to snow in the middle of January and I have to walk to class in a blizzard because for whatever reason when it is negative 23 degrees out we still have class. Mentally I feel like an old grandma during winter just trying to escape to my winter home in Florida.
I can’t wait till global warming happens because I am so against being cold that I don’t care if Iceland has to become flooded to make the Midwest a tropic paradise.
When I go back to school after winter break I think of one thing only and just one thing for two months. SPRING BREAK. You know why? Because I will be warm and happy. Every year I fly down to Florida and hug a palm tree out of pure happiness.
I also don’t like spending my days inside covered up in a blanket by a fireplace like you see on those common tweets. No one does that! No one sits there in sweatpants drinking hot chocolate by a fireplace; their body temperature would be skyrocketing, they would quickly move to somewhere else and cool down.
Winter is the most over-hyped season it reminds me of JaMarcus Russell’s NFL career.
