I have been careful to not add any spoilers, so if you haven't read "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," fear not! This article contains no spoilers.

This time a week ago, I had went out and purchased the eighth Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." I'm a huge fan of the Harry Potter series so I was ecstatic about an eighth and final book hitting the shelves. We have waited nine years for this book and I think it's safe to say that all "Potheads" were excited to pick up the book and read.

I knew when I purchased the book that it was a play. To me, it was advertised as a play. I know some people were definitely upset that it wasn't an actual story, but I liked the play setup. I liked seeing which character was speaking and I could imagine their lines in their voice (except the new characters, of course, since I haven't seen them in a movie yet.) I figured it would be a much quicker read due to the fact that it was a play and not a story and yes, it was a rather quick read. That didn't stop me from enjoying the story, though.

I was confused, though, because I thought J.K. Rowling did write the story. It turns out that she just came up with the ideas and the play came together thanks to J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany.

Some people out there are very disappointed with the eighth and final installment of the Harry Potter series. I didn't get my hopes up before purchasing the book. I went into it knowing it was a play and I was actually very excited about that because I enjoy theatre.

Obviously, the script could not be as descriptive as a story because it's people talking to each other. The only descriptive parts of the script are to show the actors where they are supposed to go/look/how is the scene supposed to feel which I was expecting because I knew I was reading a play.

I also happen to think that Harry Potter is a great father. Yes, he may have his ups and downs but what father and family doesn't? I would love to be a Potter (but maybe that's just because I want to go to Hogwarts. I'm also a little jealous of Albus, but I won't state why.)

I thought the storyline was interesting because I wouldn't have thought to come up with the plot. You learn a lot in this story that wasn't quite necessary but it did add a lot of new interest to the Harry Potter stories. My jaw was dropping at the end and I didn't expect that to happen but I'm so glad it did.

I definitely recommend checking out "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" if you are interested in Harry Potter in any way, shape or form. I purchased my copy for a little over $20 but that's also because I wanted a physical copy of the book. Purchasing the book on a Kindle or Nook will be cheaper. Or you could always borrow the book from a library near you!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
