Fall is by far the best season. There's nothing not to love--you've got football, trees turning, cool days, and most importantly, Halloween! I spend practically all of September and October preparing for the big day. I love everything about Halloween. If you're ready to get into the Halloween spirit like me, here are ten steps to truly enhance your Halloween experience.

Step 1: Create a Halloween-themed playlist

Incase you don't feel like scouring spotify for amazingly spooky songs, I've already done it for you.

Step 2: Find a horror TV show that you can binge watch until the big day

Sleepy Hollow, The Exorcist, American Horror Story, The Walking Dead, or any other show that makes your skin crawl will do.

Step 3: Sacrifice a baby

Just kidding! Or am I?

Step 4: Decorate!

Do you even celebrate if you don't decorate?

Step 5: Carve the most frightening pumpkin on the block

The pumpkin is Mona Lisa. You are da Vinci.

Step 6: Breakout your black clothes

Nothing says Halloween like being decked out in head-to-toe black.

Step 7: Stock up on the good candy

Don't be the house that hands out raisins--or worse, the house that doesn't even hand out candy. If you deny children decent candy, you're basically sucker punching your eight-year-old-self.

Step 8: Brainstorm costume ideas

You should spend every day up until THE day planning your costume. You want to be the most original when you go out, don't you?

Step 9: HALLOWEEN MOVIES!

If Halloween movies was a legit genre, it would probably be my favorite. You've got your classic horror movies like Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, Dracula, Gremlins, and then you've got your cult comedies like Beetlejuice, Young Frankenstein, Ghostbusters, and Hocus Pocus. Come on, who doesn't love Hocus Pocus?

Step 10:

If you do everything I've listed, you should have Halloween Fever. Now all you have to do is get ready.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
