Fall has come and now it's time to decorate for Halloween.

There are a lot of different ways that you can decorate your house or your door, but no matter what, Pinterest will tend to be involved. But there are so many other ways to be able to decorate for Halloween and it can be done in super effective ways to add the perfect amount of spooky and fun!

Now being on a college campus, I love to decorate my door because it is one of the easiest things to do. There are so many different ideas online to help inspire you or give you that artistic spark to be able to create something all your own. I've done this the past three years and am kind of making my own one for this year and I have gotten it down to a science of the do's and don'ts of decorating.

Some really helpful tips include being able to find something as a reference because I don't know about you, but I am not very artistic, but I can trace and cut things out and that tends to work pretty well, especially when I have some kind of reference to go off of.

Another great tip is that plastic tablecloths are so helpful when you need to cover a big expanse. For example, when covering your door, instead of using a ton of construction paper, get a solid color tablecloth as your background base and then add to it from there. Also don't be afraid to buy some pre-made decorations! There are some signs and stuff that are super cute and can go along with a great DIY door!

You can never go wrong with some great Halloween lights. Target has some great deals for a good amount of lights and not a lot of money which is super great, especially for a college student budget! The Dollar Tree is another great place to go and get decorations or other items to use to help you decorate! Because not only is everything a dollar, they do really have some great decorations and decorating items that can help you with your Halloween DIYs.

Be creative when it comes to decorating and decorate how you want and make what you want. Even if you have a reference picture don't feel like you have to copy it exactly (you can do that and that is completely fine) make your decorations the way you want them to be.

There are so many great ideas and specifics that you can do to make your house or dorm ready for Halloween! From ghosts to ghouls and pumpkins to witches, decorating for Halloween doesn't have to be scary it can be cute and fun and a project for the whole family and the whole dorm! It is always a fun activity to get together and do some decorating! Have fun decorating and for some examples of what I'm talking about, here are my doors for the past three years!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
