The GroupMe Curse

The curse of the red circle sitting in the upper right hand corner of your app is the worst. Do you open it and get involved in the chat or do you let it sit and grow?

At first, it was just one GroupMe for your pledge class, but then it grew. GroupMes with other houses, GroupMes for class, GroupMes for clubs; it is, literally, never ending. 

Get out while you can. They are never ending. People are obsessed and cannot stop writing in it at all times of the day. I would cry every single time I saw the red bubble. The red color haunts me, yet I don't want to open it. I have simply turned my notifications off, but it is just not enough. To mute your GroupMe and miss out on everything -- how could I?

The GroupMe is a curse. A curse that is taking over and making sorority girls and fraternity boys and everyone on this planet scream. 

It is the best and worst thing to happen to society.
